I'm probably normal when it comes to things going wrong in life, but when it comes to a missing or broken part in something I just bought?..............I ALWAYS get that box.

Are you a special case?
by JH inwhatever you do, are you always the exception to the rule?
does it ever happen that you see a doctor and he can't understand your problem, that you are a unique case that he never seen before?
or if you go to the garage with your car, and have a problem that no one ever had?.

Have any of you been a victim of a Break in?
by Uzzah ini guess i must have led a charmed life until now, but over the weekend someone broke into my home.
it isn't so much that they took stuff (slr camera, cell phone that belonged to a volunteer disaster services team, and cash) but that someone was in my private space without my knowledge.
it is amazing the head games such an event plays on you.

So sorry to hear that UZ.
I have had my car broke into a couple times. This last time a month ago. They busted out the passenger side window and stole my steareo. I was lucky they just unpluged it and didn't cut any of the wires. The cop said that late teen kids will ride up and down the street on bikes and go real slow looking into the cars casing them, then come back later at night to do the job. It is very violating. It cost my insurance $325 to replace the window and I still have glass everywhere. I go out with duct tape and get all the slivers out. I just think "What goes around comes around" or it would drive me crazy, I'm very territorial.

1975..Let's Keep It Alive!
by Englishman in1975. the end of 6000 years of man's existence, and logically, therefore, the start of the 1000 year reign, which meant that armageddon had to be done and dusted before that.. i remember it well!
the hype at assemblies, my dad giving up his job and selling his home to move where the "need was great", now minimised by mother with her "oh so you're another seventy-fiver are you" comments.. now it's just something that occasionally embarrasses jw's, some of them deny it ever happened, others think that it was all too long ago to be relevent.. maybe we need to put 1975 into a slot where we can all relate to it.
maybe those of us who remember that year could chip in as well.. so, what did happen in 1975?

Waited for the world to end and me to die.

If you saw a serious car accident, would you...
by JH inif you saw a serious car accident, and people were trapped in the car, or unconscious in the wreck, would you try to get them out even if the car was on fire and could explode at any moment?.
coming back from quebec city today, i saw a car or truck in the ditch upside down and with lots of smoke coming out of the wreckage.
4 or 5 cars were stopped near by to look at the accident.

What are they trying to say?
by Been there inlast saturday i was blessed with a visit from the witnesses (again).. i opened my door and standing there was an elderly "brother" and a young "sister" of about 10 or 11. he started to speak and i just said "i'm not interested" and started to shut the door.
he starts to talk again and i said "i'm not interested" in more of a tone that said what part of not interested don't you understand, and i shut the door.
my husband looked out the window and made an observation.

Last Saturday I was blessed with a visit from the witnesses (Again).
He wanted to know why all the old men had canes and young girls? I looked out and in the whole picture was 3 sets of old men with canes and young girls. Are they trying to portray something? I'm old, be nice to me? or If we were full of pedeophiles (sp) would anyone trust me with their daughters? or are they using the kids as "be nice shields", knowing most people won't be so rude with a kid around?
I don't have the ability to stand and argue with them about doctrine. I am going to make a list and just ask if they are aware of certain things going on. I don't want an answer back, just for them to think. I would like to tell the next little girl (or boy) that comes with an old man that if anyone touches you in a way that makes you feel bad in anyway, to tell someone NOT in the congragation right away. How fast do you think they would get off my porch?

well this really sucks
by SpiceItUp inyou ever have one of those things that happen to you that just leaves you speechless.
well the other day one of my best friends (someone i have known for years) told me that they might have cancer.
they have a tumor in their leg that just changed size as well as a small lump in their arm.

Spice,
Be a friend to hear their worries about the tests to come. Be there for them while they wait for the results. Not all lumps are cancer. Not all cancers are deadly. They are making great progress with the treatment of cancer. My neighbour next door had a lump between his knee and calf 5 1/2 years ago. It was cancer in the muscle. They removed it all, no chemo or radiation. He is cancer free. He had two small kids to raise on his own. So it is not always fatal. They have come along, long way. It is not rosy for all though. Many do not make it and I am sorry for all the ones here who have lost loved ones. I know the pain.
Try to keep your friend calm untill they have diagnosed it as cancer. If it is, then worry.

How do you 'feel' loved?
by Maverick intony robbins claims there are three basic ways people 'feel' loved.
some need to be told.
for them hearing those words expresses love.

Thanks Maverick I wish you could too. I don't ever see him changing. He says he tries but he doesn't. I would know.
